lapis lazuli

Lapis lazuli is a blue stone that looks like a starry sky speckled with gold flakes. It is found only in the heights. In the past, it was a symbol of nobility and elegance thanks to its blue color which reminded the sky. Today, the blue stone would have as a virtue a calming effect which would help to manage the stress and the anxiety. It is also considered to be the stone of communication.

Lapis lazuli, highly prized in jewelry, is often combined with 18-carat white gold, which accentuates its midnight-blue color. 18-caratyellow gold is also used with lapis lazuli to recall the gold-colored flakes found in the stone. Poinçon 22 has chosen to combine it with yellow gold for its warmer effect.

Mother of pearl

Mother-of-pearl is a fine stone found in the oceans. It is unusual in that it is the only living, organic stone in the Nuances collection, which explains the care it requires to avoid damage.

When taking possession of a piece of mother-of-pearl jewelry, great care must be taken to prevent the stone from changing color. Its color can be altered if the mother-of-pearl jewel is worn underwater, or if the stone comes into contact with toxic products or chemicals such as perfume. This stone with its magical reflections is very popular, as it can take on all the colors of the rainbow, thanks to its iridescent sheen.

Mother-of-pearl is considered the stone of intuition and open-mindedness. It is also the symbol of motherhood.

Carnelian

Carnelian, the symbol of sunrise and sunset in ancient Egypt, adorned the finest royal jewels. It's a fine stone that abounds in resources, which is why it was frequently used in medicine. It is said to soothe the anxious and enhance creativity. Today, it is also said to restore vitality and energy to the wearer.

The red color of carnelian can vary on our Nuances jewelry at 18K gold, from bright red to orange-red. The color changes according to the stone, the color of your skin and the light that falls on it. The red stone, combined withrose gold or the heart-shaped medal motif, softens and is perfect as a birthday gift.

Malachite

Malachite, a green stone, has many virtues, including protection. Indeed, the Romans believed that malachite could protect against lightning. Children were therefore advised to wear a malachite talisman for protection.

Nowadays, it is considered an absorbing stone, relieving inflammatory pain when placed on a painful area of the body.

It is widely used and appreciated in jewelry for its resplendent color, its striations which are more or less dark and wide and which make it so unique. At Poinçon 22, it is worn as a medal, bracelet or ring in 18K yellow gold, surrounded by gold pearls that dress it with character.

Onyx

Derived from agate, the black stone that is onyx comes from volcanic rocks, hence its color. It has many meanings: in the Middle Ages it was a symbol of anger and sadness in Arab culture, and was associated with the goddess of chaos and night in Greek mythology.

Today, with its singular deep black color, it is said to bring energy and balance to the wearer.

It is also considered today to be a grounding stone, enabling us to be anchored in the present moment and to have strong emotional stability.

Pink opal

Pink opal is an ancient gemstone, discovered 20 million years ago. The softness of this stone completes the collection with the most feminine color. Enhanced by the 18-caratrose gold , these opal jewels are a perfect match for all other rose gold jewels, especially those with diamonds.

You'll love its summery, warm color, which will shine on your tanned summer skin.

Pink opal jewelry is known for bringing love and kindness to the wearer, while adding a soft, colorful touch to an outfit.

turquoise

Turquoise has been used in jewelry since Egyptian times. This fine stone in the colors of the sky and lagoons has always fascinated. Its many virtues were discovered early on. It is said to regulate the nervous system, thus calming anger.

Blue stone is known to ward off negative energies and bring optimism to the wearer. Turquoise is said to promote deep, restful sleep and counteract fatigue.
