Valentine's Day according to Poinçon 22

Celebrated every year on February 14, Valentine's Day is both welcomed as the day of lovers and contested as too commercial and " cheesy ". But it can also be seen as the day of Love with a capital A. Whatever the ties of love that bind us, this is a day we want to spend with our husbands, our partners, our brothers and sisters, our parents, our friends, our children... In short, a day to spend with our loved ones, where the key word is to enjoy ourselves.

If you don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day and have no plans for it, it's not too late! Here are some suggestions for spending a wonderful day in good company ❤️.

  1. A LITTLE ATTENTION TO PLEASE

If you're not averse to giving a gift to your loved ones on the Feast of Love, take a look at our exclusive Valentine's Day selection. There are plenty of occasions to give a piece of jewelry, and spontaneous gifts are all the more pleasurable.

2. SETTING UP

This year, Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday.

You can choose to do so as breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner.

For more originality, we've decided to offer you a brunch or a drunch. The idea of the latter is to have brunch, but in the evening ...

It's up to you to choose what suits you best!

Here are some simple, easy-to-make recipes to give you a few ideas. The idea is not to prepare all these things, just to select the dishes that tempt you the most in order to compose the brunch or drunch for the people you love:

  • Tartine (Poilâne type) cream base or fresh goat's cheese, avocado, salmon, soft-boiled egg, red onion, dill.

  • Avocado tartine, cherry tomatoes, small balls of mozzarella di bufala.

  • Healthier sandwich: butternut patty base, avocado, breaded chicken, poached egg.

  • Platter of your favorite cheeses.

  • Pancakes: sweet or savoury (with salmon, heavy cream, lemon, dill).

  • King crab, avocado and lemon verrines. Garnish with chives.

  • Pineapple carpaccio.

  • Orange cinnamon salad.

  • Granola fruit tarts

  • Babka (For the more courageous, Clemfoodie 's recipes are as beautiful as they are good, so we recommend the one with caramelized apples. Or go for the one from Mamiche, which is to die for).

  • And of course the pastries.

What to drink with this?

Depending on your preferences, you can drink champagne, wine, coffee, hot chocolate... Here we opt for juices:

  • Spinach, apple, lemon, pineapple (1 large handful fresh baby spinach, 1 pineapple, 1 apple, 350 ml cold water, 2 yellow lemons).

  • Coffee, chocolate, banana (1 banana, 20 cl milk, 1 scoop vanilla ice cream, 1 tbsp chocolate powder, 1 tbsp mocha coffee).

  • Pineapple, mango, ginger (400 g fresh or frozen mango cut into pieces, 100 g fresh or tinned pineapple cut into pieces, 60 cl coconut milk, 2 tsp bee pollen, 1 tbsp finely grated fresh ginger, 4 ice cubes).

  • Apples, mint, lime (4 apples, a handful of fresh mint leaves, 2 limes).
