Isabelle Kanako's sweetness
ISABELLE KANAKO
A culinary photographer for 7 years, she knows how to bring harmony and beauty out of the most raw products. You'll drool over her photos and her refined, gourmet universe. We'll tell you all about it!
Of Japanese origin, she transports us by mixing her different cultures in a play of colors, textures and shapes.
Between her disconcerting " Empty " photos, her hunger-inducing magazine pictures and her gourmet pastries like Conticini's fraisier, Isabelle makes us dream.
Passionate from an early age
From the age of ten and her first film camera, she discovered a new passion:
to "make something banal beautiful".
A few years later, during a school project on monochrome, she photographed a cake for the first time: her first culinary photograph. This was the turning point, her turning point. She discovered a new facet of photography, whether it was the way she showcased the pastry or the pleasure of seeing her friends jumping on the cake at the end, everything appealed to her.
Today, 9 years after that photo, she's still as passionate as ever. She works for companies such as Hugo & Victor and Kevin Lacote, and has also illustrated a number of books. We invite you to discover her work on her website.
The little extra?
