Chain size guide
Discover the different lengths and types of chains offered by Poinçon 22 to help you choose the one that will suit you best and that will enhance the medal or pendant you want to hang from it. We propose 4 sizes of chains: 40 cm, 45 cm, 50 cm and 55 cm and 3 kinds of chains: the round cable chain, the filed cable chain and the twisted chain. In case of desire of particular chain and different from those stated, do not hesitate to contact us so that we study together the possible options.
How to choose the right chain ?
To choose the length of your chain, use the sketch below.
This drawing is an estimatation, the chains will not fall in the same way according to your morphology.
We recommend a 45 cm chain for most women, as well as for larger medals such as the My Poinçon 22 medal, Amore or Mamma for example. If you're tall (over 1m70), we recommend a 50 cm or 55 cm chain.
The 40 cm chains are suitable for short wear, for small pendants such as the mini Éternité medal, the Marguerite pendant or the Forget Me Not medal. For women over 1.70 m tall, we recommend size 45 cm for these small pendants. 40 cm chains are also often chosen for a child's christening medal, for example.
If in doubt, you can make an appointment at one of our two showrooms(Lille or Paris) so you can try on the different chain sizes and see for yourself how long they are.
2. Our 18K gold chains
We offer different chains, the filed cable chain, the round cable chain and the twisted chain. The filed forçat chain is brighter than the other chains thanks to its more angular maillons while the round forçat chain is composed of round maillons which makes the chain very soft. The twisted chain is a braid in 18K gold, more delicate because of its fine maillons .
