Our series selection

For a little comfort, always appreciated in these times, we've selected a list of our favorite series. Ghost stories, love stories, humor or series retracing the lives of icons, whatever our mood we can always find an adventure to immerse ourselves in. Here are five topical series that caught our attention at Poinçon 22, let's discover them together:

The lady's game

The series of the moment, "Le jeu de la dame", follows the life of a young orphan who plunges into the world of chess. After her first games against the janitor in the basement of her orphanage, she develops a real passion for the game. Little by little, she impresses even the greatest players, but is plagued by numerous addictions. Based on Walter Tevis's novel The Queen's Gambit, this series will appeal to everyone, even the greatest chess players, as much for its story and settings as for its realism. Surprising, touching and full of twists and turns, discover Beth Harmon's life without further delay.

The Haunting of Bly Manor

We've decided to extend the Halloween atmosphere into the month of November. Here's the recipe for a successful evening of horror: The Haunting, a two-season series based on the concept of the haunted house. Discover The Haunting of Hill House or The Haunting of Bly Manor on your own or with friends, and share your fright. And don't forget to look in the background for some surprises!

Emily in Paris

You couldn't miss this series: a young American, Emily, who arrives in Paris, the city of love, gastronomy and 6th-floor maids' rooms. It's a caricature of our beautiful capital, shot in some of the city's most beautiful locations, including the Pantheon and the Palais Royal gardens. It's a series you'll quickly fall in love with for its breath of freshness and second-degree humor, so check it out right away. The series has taken Instagram by storm, as much for its cult phrases as for the style of its cast. From the big candy-pink coat to the oversized plaid blazer and strapless black dress, we've got you covered! By the way, do you think Emily's style is inspired by the wardrobe of Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf?

The Crown

The hit series that traces the life of Queen Elizabeth II. We discover with interest the woman behind the crown, from her earliest years to her reign. We also follow all the intrigues, romances and rivalries over the years. The good news? Season 4 has just been released, the most exciting of all: Diana enters the picture! And for the biggest fans, discover all the costumes from the series in the Brooklyn Museum exhibition. Free and virtual, this event in partnership with Netflix runs from October 30 to December 31, so check it out! This exhibition isn't just for The Crown, you can also discover the world of the series "The Lady's Game".

Ten Percent

Our latest recommendation, a French series packed with guest stars, Dix pour cent. It follows the lives of artistic agents Andréa, Mathias, Gabriel, Arlette, Hervé, Sofia and Camille. We follow their personal and professional stories, from the disappearance of the agency's founder to the discovery of the receptionist's hidden talents. We immediately become attached to the characters, and love discovering the new celebrities in each season. Jean Dujardin, Julien Doré or Jean Réno, discover them playing their own roles with self-mockery, a pure moment of happiness.
